Day One of being healthy again went amazing! It feels like it's been forever, and that feeling sucks!
For those of you who have been following, you've noticed I have been MIA here lately. My MIA means being stressed and insanely busy, and it's a toss up on whether or not I have been living a healthy lifestyle.
Last semester, finals came and went, no problem (in healthy living at least lol). This semester I was on the verge of a "C" for two classes so I was studying hard to make "A"s on my finals so I could have "B"s --- which I totally did ;) . It was insane. And I had a huge 20-30 page paper that I thought was due next semester, but low and behold was due this semester. SOOOOOO, all those lame-o excuses aside, I stuffed my face with crap. Candy canes (the least of my worries), juice drinks (holy smokes at the calories), cookie dough, chocolate covered raisins, airheads, laffy taffy, cadbury eggs, frozen chinese food, just pretty much every thing horrible, I was putting in my face.
I declared once school ended I would jump back on top of everything. This is NOT the kind of lifestyle I think is good "checking out for two weeks", but it is a step to see where that is not acceptable and to go at it again.
So it's the first Monday since school has been out, my official "getting my ass in gear" day. I weighed....5 pound gain. Not "as bad" as it could have been given my foodie binge, but still... who wants to see a gain?!
After that was over (thank god), I went on to how I am going to get those 5 pounds off! I'm back to using myfitnesspal to count my calories like I was doing, and I am starting to drink 98 oz of water. That's right! It's my new thing lol. Mom has been drinking 98 oz (3 fill ups of VS water bottle) and I decided that I needed to get back on water as well. From drinking water today, I actually forgot to drink milk! I bet I have been drink more milk than I realized. I already feel replenished! I'm glad that I set out to drink more water.
What else...... uhm, oh I had myself tuna and a sweet potato, turkey and eggs, pb and banana, and a veggie chicken pattie today. Snacks were fruit. How healthy is that lol. I am definitely eating better again!
And we walked 2 miles today. Slow start (considering what I was doing), but it's SOOOO much better than nothing. I'm ready to start being more hardcore with my workouts. I'm designing a workout plan atm and I'm excited to put it into action!
Oh, also!!! Someone is getting an elliptical for Christmas!! SUPER EXCITED!
