Okay guys this is going to sound so elementary, but I was thinking about this today [as I lay in my bed, in the dark, from 4-8 in the afternoon] whilst feeling sorry for myself because I opted to not work out Tuesday (I always allow one day off) and then did not get to (UNPLANNED --- OH NOOO) on Wednesday. I said to myself, "Bailey, what are you doing right now and how does that help you to achieve your goals." Let's just say.... I obviously wasn't doing squat to achieve much of anything. SO, that being said I want each of my friends trying to lose weight to really think about why they are doing this. What are you trying to accomplish? What are short-term and long-term goals in terms of how you want to feel, or what you want to accomplish? Here's my list that I made when I started living a healthier lifestyle and I decided that maybe this would inspire you to make your own list.
Remember Why You're Doing This
- To live an exciting and adventurous life and never shy away from something because of my weight.
- To be and to be seen as a woman who takes care of theirself.
- To look GREAT in a wedding dress, bathing suit, rose colored short shorts (specific, Right?! lol), etc.
- To one day have a cute baby bump. I would about DIE if someone thought I was just gaining all my weight back.
- To go into any store and be able to buy an entire outfit.
- To prove to myself that I am meant to have the body I always wanted.
- To not have medical problems.
- To be in great shape so I have the energy to keep up with my future family.
- To have energy and make more out of my days.
- To love everything about myself, not just parts.
All in no particular order. But, that's it. That's my list. Yeah I forget some of these or think of more sometimes, but these are the core reasons I'm doing this. From week to week I measure success and small speedbumps, but ultimately this is a lifestyle.
