So Christmas and New Years are over. Time to get back into gear. I actually had gotten quite far away from the wagon during December, unfotunately... Really, at the beginning of January, I wasn't doing too hot either!! What was the DEAL?! I was soooooo off routine. I like a good structured day, always have. Honestly, I
gained during the break. <<< That sentence about breaks my heart. Anyway, it's a completely manageable gain and I hope to have it all off by the end of this month. Minor setback, but I'm still better than when I started and losing weight is still going to be happening.
Fortunately, I prefer living healthy so it's time to be back at it! January 4, 2013-- >I woke up that morning, had a great breakfast, and I have been on the ball ever since. One of my goals this year is to not let myself go for more than 2 days in a row. And hopefully that's only a few times this year. In 201,2 I had a few "bad weeks" and I'd rather shorten those bad boys up (to the 2 days).
What's some of the healthy stuff I've been doing you may ask?
Well, I have been eating a lot of
healthy recipes that I have stolen from some seriously inspiring Instagram folks. I'm going to be doing a lot of recipes soon and posting them up as I make them! Get ready ;)
I've also dedicated myself to getting in
mileage this week. I even ran a little jaunt the other day for fun! It's back to the plain eating healthy and exercising. It's seriously what works. My bf is also on this kick and I am so glad because with him, I feel safe going on hiking trails. I LOVE hiking out in the woods! And my mom is the one who ensures we are on top of the miles. I have a great support system going on right now! I miss my runs with my cousin Robyn. She's amazing as well, but we haven't been able to run together since schools been out :( During school (which is coming way too soon) I'll be able to do some with her since we'll be closer!
Here's some pictures of the healthy happenings this week! As well as some hodge-podge for you!

Body by Vi shake to get me back on track.
Recipe: In one bowl I whipped up a jar of MaraNatha Caramel Almond Butter and a few big TBSPs of plain non-fat Greek yogurt. I put that on some strawberries and placed 4 strawberries per bag into the freezer. I also put the mixture on a few bananas and froze them as well. This shake called for the strawberries. I got out a bag, dropped 4 dipped strawberries into the blender, 1 cup of light choc. almond milk, 1 TBSP of cocoa powder, 4 ice cubes, several drops of imitation vanilla, and 2 scoops of Body by Vi powder. Not everything has to be done exactly, not a science. Feel free to mix in vanilla instead of chocolate, raspberries instead of the others, or just whatever you're up for! ;)
Oh to be 17!! Found in one of my old planners the exact day Cash and I began dating. Tooo cute. I was sooooo excited, in case you couldn't tell. |

Got really dressed up and felt amazing this week. Curled hair, pearls, and a classic boyfriend shirt. Too cute.
Went for a 5 mile hike this afternoon with the boyfriend! We went up the side of a mountain and had some amazing views!
Some of the amazing views ;) And does anyone see that creepy arrow in the top left corner?! We got moving faster after that
