"Welcome to Earth"

I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July!!
This year I kicked it off by getting a morning run in with my mom and cousin. We've been getting up pretty consistent, about 3x per week. I felt great knowing I was burning some calories and getting myself ready for the night ahead!!
After the run, and maybe after a nap, Mom helped me cook some food to take over to my boyfriend's house for dinner. The bf and I spent the night watching "Indepence Day", which stars Will Smith...not Billy Bob Thorton, like I had previously thought lol. We had a burn ban this 4th of July, and I was really glad that no one shot off any fireworks down at the marina, where we were. (Sidenote: Last week a guy was doing something with hay and his machine set off a spark, which started a fire, which actually burnt up quite a bit of land. I could see the smoke from my house, and it was scary!!) People were actually pretty friendly and safe at the marina, beside people letting their small children run wild (which is sooo dangerous at a marina).
Uhmm... We ate really good that night too. When we went out for a Taco Bell run, I didn't take part in that. I got a nutrient bar for 150 calories at the gas station and milk to take back. I felt like I stayed within my calories yesterday, but there was some homemade food that I wasn't sure what the calories were. I really hate that, by the way, not knowing exact calories. I can deal with it, but it's much easier for me to just have everything exact. I'm glad that I don't have to freak out about it, and I'm glad that not knowing a meal every now and then doesn't cause me to stop counting calories/give up. Now on to the fun stuff!!!

This morning I got up and swam for 23 minutes, yeah awkward number, but I timed that mess. I tread water and swam laps the entire time. I had a blast and the water felt amazing!!

&&&& Later that day, Kinzey and I ran through the Hello Kitty Water Sprinkler (which was actually way more efficient than I had previously given credit, esp. for $10!!). We strategically placed it in the shade, thanks to my mom's brillance, and we had a great time! Here's some pictures from that experience ;)

  1. What a fun 4th of July, good job avoiding the "4th meal" lol. I also hate not knowing what homemade food is made with and the calorie count. Iguess that's why I try to grt everyone over to my place for parties so I can control it :)
