Thought that post title might grab some attention lol. Seriously though... there will be some naked skin showing. Anyway!! So it's been a great week. Class was cancelled tonight, so that's how I'm having time to bust out a blog post! I was pretty excited about it, not so much that my teacher is sick :/ BUT ya know what I mean. Let's see what all do I have to tell y'all. First off- I've got some weekly goals that are going fantastic!
Today we did the morning run at 2 pm lol, but we just wanted to add in some extra activity- We will take it where we can get it. It was really good. We decided since it was almost 100 degrees outside that we would do 1 mile on the treadmill. SO thankful we have a treadmill.
While Mom did her mile I did 1/2 mile on the stationary bike and 1/2 mile on the elliptical (and vice versa). We have had the treadmill forever, but she runs like a gem (get it? lol) and the stat. bike was free. My elliptical was a Christmas gift from my first Christmas after beginning my healthy journey.
After we got done exercising, I jumped in the shower to wash off with a cold shower. Dinner was made while I added new songs to my iPod. OOOO. That's always such an accomplishment for me, because for some reason I take FOREVER to upload my music. Is anyone else like that? I mean really.... what's our hold up?!
As I promised, here's some pictures of me in my new Old Navy gear I got on sale! I'm pretty sure the sale is still happening- just FYI lol.
It was so cute that we had to be twinks! Twinkies at a bootcamp say whaaaaa?! Bet you woulda never thunk that!
Last, but DEFINITELY not least, here's my "naked" pictures as promised. I thought I'd probably get a lot of flack for these, but they were well received (imagine that lol) and everyone seemed very supported.
One of the things that I said when I posted this was
"A gain in confidence
is just as important as
a loss in numbers".
I'm pretty sure this is going to be my new mantra. EVEN though I did lose 2 pounds!
Everybody trying to be healthy and increase the quality of their life, I hope that you can relate to the "Strong is Beautiful" and the idea of positivity and confidence being just as important as that last set or those extra reps. I'm not at my lowest weight, but I've been healthy for the longest amount of time I ever have and I feel great. Hope everyone has a great week!
Anyone have any new goals? Let me know!! :))
Absolutely! Love the new mantra. you look great :) Keep up the great work. You all have a nice gym going there, it's great you have such a great workout partner, I have to get my mom to workout with me sometime.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! That's what they're there for, put those mamas to work haha.
